Announcements and routine civic messaging broadcast to 10 speakers spread across the city, run from a single control centre — installed and fully live within 7 days, without digging a single trench for cable.
A single control point, many scattered locations, and no practical way to wire them together.
The administration needed to broadcast public announcements and routine civic messages to 10 locations spread across the city — market squares, public buildings, transit points and community spaces — from one control centre. A conventional wired PA system would have meant trenching cable across the city between every speaker location, which was neither fast nor cost-effective to roll out, and made adding new locations later a fresh construction job every time.
Replace the cable run with a cellular link at every speaker, and centralise control on a static IP.
We deployed 10 Tonmind IP PA speakers at the required locations, with every speaker zone connected back to the network over a GSM mobile SIM instead of a wired LAN — removing the trenching requirement entirely. At the control centre, a static IP connection runs Tonmind's PA System Pro software, giving operators a single dashboard to broadcast live announcements or schedule routine messages to individual zones, groups of zones, or all 10 at once. The full rollout — installation, connectivity and commissioning — was completed in 7 days.
Static IP connection running PA System Pro, giving operators live and scheduled broadcast control.
Each zone reaches the control centre over its own GSM mobile SIM — no dependency on local wired infrastructure.
Tonmind outdoor IP speakers installed at each public location, addressable individually or by group.
Announcements go out instantly, or civic messages run on a set schedule without an operator present.
The core hardware and software behind the rollout.
The management software running at the control centre, giving operators live paging and scheduled-broadcast control across every zone.
Weatherproof horn speakers installed at each public location, built to run outdoors year-round.
Each of the 10 speaker zones connects back to the control centre over its own mobile data SIM, replacing a wired network run.
A fixed, static IP address at the control centre gives every remote zone a stable address to connect back to.
What changed once the system was live.
All 10 zones were installed, connected and broadcasting within a week of work starting on site.
Cellular links replaced what would otherwise have been city-wide cable runs, cutting both cost and rollout time.
Any additional speaker location beyond the initial 10 is just another SIM-connected zone — expansion doesn't mean new civil work.
Because each zone runs on its own cellular link, the system stays operational even where local wired infrastructure is unreliable.
Operators broadcast to a single zone, a group, or every speaker at once, from the same control centre screen.
Urgent announcements go out immediately; routine civic messages run on a schedule with no one at the desk.
The same architecture supports adding ONVIF-linked CCTV triggers or further zones as requirements expand.
